This is difficult on everyone, however panic does little good. My approach under these circumstances, whether it is business or combat, is to offer reassurance. Use good judgement, and don’t be afraid to exercise faith 🙏 or a bit of unrealistic optimism 🌞. This is a learned and practiced skill, that many people will not possess and will allow you to help others to get through this by leaning on you. This is the leaders job. Use your brain and constantly look for ways to innovate and develop new ideas. Take your challenges and turn them on their head. There is always a way forward, but it may not always be obvious or intuitive.
